There are extensive paths for walking or riding (some mountain bikes are provided), and both Dartmoor and the wide stretches of sandy beaches on the north coast can be reached in about forty minutes, along relatively hassle and traffic free roads. An introductory session to clay pigeon shooting can be arranged with the owner.
